When you have a lot of books in your collection, it can prove to be a bit difficult to efficiently manage it. There are specialized tools out there that can lend a helping hand, such as the quite useful database tool Bucharchiv. Use this application to store information on all your books, get book info from the web, manage loans, and more.

To get Bucharchiv up and running on your computer, you must go through a standard setup procedure: download an installer, run it, follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard.
To be able to run Bucharchiv, your computer needs to meet these system requirements: 1.8GHz processor or better, 2GB of RAM memory or more, 1280x800 graphic resolution, internet connection, Windows operating system (Windows 7 or Windows 8; 32 or 64-bit edition).

When you launch Bucharchiv you will be presented with a window that invites you to choose one of three available versions: Standard, Enterprise, and Professional. After you pick the edition you want to test, you will be presented with the application’s user friendly interface and with some handy tips that will help you figure out said interface.

What you can do with Bucharchiv is create a database and store information about your collection of books in it. You can manage the books, add more books manually or by automatically retrieving info from the web, edit a lot of details about a book, manage loans, export info, sync info with other PCs, and more. The overall functionality depends on the Bucharchiv edition you’re using. A detailed comparison between the Bucharchiv Standard, Professional, and Enterprise versions is available on the application’s official webpage.

Efficiently and quite easily manage your collection of books with Bucharchiv.

Pros

A modern PC will easily meet Bucharchiv’s system requirements. There are three Bucharchiv editions to choose from; you can choose which one you want to try. The application features a good looking interface. Store and manage a lot of info about your books. English and German are supported.

Cons

60-day trial, nag screen.
